Established in 1983, Odeh Commercial Stores is one of the general Palestinian attempts at preserving the beauty and spiritual depths of the past. Faithful to their inherited proffision, father and children continued what they had learned from their grandparents and adding to it. A one room humble workshop, the smell of Palestinian olive wood, hands working elegantly to produce with quality and style, has flourished today into large stores employing 10 people working on mass production of different items of olive wood handicrafts.

Against the brutal attempts of occupation at attracting the tourist industry away from the Palestinians of the West Bank, it was those family attempts that kept the tradition of crafting in olive wood till today. Handicrafts made of pure olive wood are not merely beautiful items to decorate houses and offices. Each item is a pice of history holding a glimpse of a glorious past and coloured with the holy and sacred essence of the place where Jesus was born.
